A Conversation on how to communicate the 5 languages of Appreciation in the Workplace
March 8 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
We have all heard about The 5 Love Languages written by Gary Chapman, a book that presents general ways to communicate and express love to a significant other. But what about applying these same concepts to the work environment? Gary Chapman, alongside Paul White, go beyond love to illustrate the five languages to the modern workplace and explain why it is important to express appreciation.
Join us in a conversation on discussing the importance of appreciation, and identifying ways to effectively communicate appreciation to boost employee morale.
By the end of this CETL presentation, attendees will be able to:
- List the five languages of appreciation in the workplace
- Define each language of appreciation: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, Tangible Gifts, and Physical Touch
- Discuss each language within the context of the workplace
- Illustrate examples of the five languages
