Put on your thinking map: Mind mapping vs concept mapping
September 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In this presentation, participants will be introduced to two different types of mapping for organizing concepts: mind mapping and concept mapping. Often used interchangeably, they have two different purposes. Participants will learn the most appropriate use for both types of mapping, and how these tools can be incorporated into the learning process.
At the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:
- Explain the difference between a mind map and a concept map
- Discuss implications for use of each in teaching and learning
- Create a group mind OR concept map (why not both?)
