WesternU’s Skill Share: A Putting People First initiative is a new concept for posting and finding interesting projects at the University, brought to you by the Office of Mission Integration, the Center for Innovation and the Department of Information Technology. Project managers post mission-critical projects for employees to work on short-term. All employees can search the project listings and speak with their supervisors about opportunities they would like to explore. See the website at www.westernu.edu/skillshare. This session for managers will describe Skill Share and how to post projects, with initial emphasis on opportunities for non-exempt (hourly) jobs.
- Understand the Skill Share design: its purpose and current methods, guidelines and policies.
- Learn how to use an online application for posting and searching project opportunities.
- Learn how Skill Share enables WesternU to share resources, grow skills for faculty and staff, and enhance productivity.
